Ciacci Piccolomini d’ Aragona now owns three wine cellars according to constant progresses of the wine making process and to its on increase:

- the historic cellar called Palazzo erected in the XVII century; this is the place where the most valuable wines are aged and it can be visited by appoitment

- the new cellar Molinello; (2500 square metres) it now is the estate headquarters with fermentation, ageing and refinement rooms and where the offices and the wine shop take place, so here you can buy wines, grappa di brunello and our extravergine montalcino olive oil

- the S. Stefano cellar, a recent acquisition, located in Montenero (Grosseto province) is used only for the production of the Montecucco Sangiovese DOC wine.

Ciacci Piccolomini d’ Aragona vineyards are located in the south, south-west side of Montalcino tuscany at an altitude between 240 and 360 mt above sea level. The stony slopes near the Orcia river benefit from a particularly mild microclimate and here the vines grow in ideal climatic conditions. Due to its strategic position the Vigna di Pianrosso (meaning Pianrosso vineyard) represents the best expression of the estate in terms of quality and terroir. For these reasons Ciacci Piccolomini d’ Aragona selects the best grape for Montalcino Brunello Pianrosso and Brunello Riserva Vigna di Pianrosso from this single vineyard.
